Carey Price will soon have a moment at the Bell Centre, soaking in the love of the only city he’s played for during his storied NHL career.
On Tuesday, the Montreal Canadiens announced Price will return to the Bell Centre on Nov. 10 to celebrate his Hall of Fame induction, which will take place the previous day.
Price will become the 62nd member of the organization to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. He will then be added to the Bell Centre’s ring of honour, which is reserved for former players who have made it into hockey’s pantheon.
The goaltender played his entire 15-year career in Montreal.
Through 712 career games, he posted a 251 goals-against average with .917 save percentage and is the franchise’s record holder for games played and victories as a goaltender.
Price will be honoured during a game versus the Minnesota Wild.
Danièle Sauvageau, who coached Canadian women’s hockey team to 1st gold medal, returns as new GM
He was also a seven-time all-star and was drafted fifth overall in the 2005 NHL Entry draft.
