Police say a motorcyclist was taken to hospital with serious injuries after a B.C. crash near the Surrey-Delta border Saturday afternoon left a motorcycle dangling from a traffic light above a busy intersection.
Delta police say officers were called just before 3 p.m. PT to the 7100-block of Scott Road at 72nd Avenue and 120th Street for a collision involving a motorcycle and vehicle.
Police say the rider suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and the driver of the sedan was not injured.
Photos and videos circulating online show the motorcycle suspended above the roadway from an overhead traffic signal pole following the crash.
Scott Road between 70th Avenue and 72nd Avenue is closed, according to the police, as crews work to remove the vehicle and bike and clear debris from the roadway.
