You could argue there’s as much originality in skateboarding as there isn’t, but when you’re talking about someone like Erick Winkowski, there’s no debate—the dude is a true original. Through and through.
In Bronson’s latest ‘Rollin Deep’ installment, Winkowski gets revved up at Memorial Park before taking on some of San Diego’s crustiest ditches and spots—including a handrail that most folks wouldn’t think twice about. Press play and get stoked:
Okay, so the whole clip obviously rips, but I love that he just threw in a switch front-shuv on a random nine-stair into the mix here. He’s like an acrobat when it comes to pool coping, he’ll piece together a tasteful line in the streets, hardflip a flat gap, and still jump down some stairs. How much more all-terrain can you get?

Spontaneous. Stylish. Unpredictable. When you’re talking about the way somebody skates, these certainly aren’t the worst words to have in the conversation, that’s for sure. Erick is all of these and more. Never a dull moment!
The best part is, you can tell he’s out there having the time of his life. And honestly, who wouldn’t be? When you can basically skate anything, anywhere, anytime, the fun will never end. I’ve been a fan of Winkowski for years now and that admiration only continues to grow with edits like this. One of a kind!
If you haven’t watched the clip yet, stop listening to me blabber and just press play.
