If you’re a fan of BAKER 3, this one’s a must-watch. The latest installment of ‘Beagle Tapes’ recently hit the Interwebs, taking us straight back to 2004 Los Angeles with some raw, behind-the-scenes sessions featuring Andrew Reynolds, Erik Ellington, Dustin Dollin, Bryan Herman, Spanky, Lewis Marnell, Jeff Lenoce, and more.
This is some serious golden era gold, if you ask me! Hard to believe this was literally over 20 years ago. Where has the time gone? Settle in and hop in the van with one of skateboarding’s heaviest squads. Take a look:
These dudes all look way younger obviously, but I had to really take a second look at Herman with his shaved head around the 4:30 mark. Haha! I’m a huge fan of raw clips, but raw clips from decades ago? Yeah, count me in. This was such a special time in my life as well, so the whole thing just hits super close to home.

Beagle has literally always been the ultimate hype man. I’ll never get tired of hearing his little laughs and noises behind the lens. And the Lewis Marnell (RIP) clips are obviously really special, too. His style is still unmatched.
For someone who grew up obsessing over videos like BAKER 3, this is as close as we’ll ever get to feeling like we were part of the squad. Hey, I’ll take it. Can you imagine how insane Beagle’s archive is? Almost gives me anxiety thinking about it.
Anyways. Skateboarding has obviously evolved, but the raw energy of BAKER 3 is timeless, as far as I’m concerned. Thanks to Beagle, we get to revisit some of those classic moments that made the video what it was. We want more!
