A Hamilton man has pleaded guilty to drugging and sexually assaulting two more women in a case that involved him recording and posting his actions online.

In June, Bryan Hayward, 37, also pleaded guilty to counts involving seven other women.

Hayward had been set to go to trial on the latest charges. Crown lawyer Kelli Frew previously said the proceedings could last 17 days.

Since Hayward pleaded guilty in the Ontario Court of Justice before Justice Michael Wendl on Sept. 4, there will be no trial, Frew said.

CBC Hamilton listened to a court recording of the hearing.

Wendl has yet to sentence Hayward. The Crown has asked that he be designated a dangerous offender, which would allow for him to be incarcerated indefinitely. A separate hearing to determine that would be required.

Hamilton man pleads guilty to drugging, sexually assaulting 7 women, sharing videos online

The case dates back to May 2025, when Hamilton police arrested and charged Hayward in connection with multiple alleged assaults following a W5 investigation into a network of men who secretly drugged and videotaped their intimate partners.

In June, Hayward pleaded guilty on charges related to seven women. In an agreed statement of facts, he admitted to drugging and assaulting the women as far back as 2018. The court heard he would drug women in various ways, then record himself having sex with them without their consent and share the videos online.

Under a username referencing a date-rape drug, Hayward posted multiple videos on the website Motherless, court heard. The 22 uploads on his account were viewed about 144,000 times.

The victims’ identities are protected under a standard publication ban.

In the Hamilton court on Sept. 4, Frew read from a new agreed statement of facts relating to Hayward sexually assaulting two women.

The first met Hayward online in 2022 and was in an intimate relationship with him until his arrest. The court heard the two would take drugs together.

At some point, the woman learned Hayward was sharing videos of sex with unconscious women in a group chat. He told her he had somnophilia, a sexual attraction to sleeping or unconscious people.

2nd Hamilton man charged in ‘drug-facilitated’ sexual assault investigation, police say

She agreed to let him have sex with her while she was unconscious. When watching the video he recorded, she was disturbed to learn he had injected her with a substance she didn’t agree to, court heard.

Hayward told her he had recorded 11 videos of her without her consent. Police recovered some of those videos.

According to the agreed statement of facts, the woman was in a car crash with her children after Hayward drugged her one time. She had been vomiting and passed out in the driver’s seat. Hayward told her she reacted poorly to drugs he gave her.

Court heard the second woman reconnected with Hayward in 2023 after meeting him some years earlier. She dropped her daughter off somewhere and agreed to do drugs with him, thinking he was giving her a stimulant like cocaine or methamphetamine.

She panicked when Hayward said he gave her a central nervous system depressant gamma hydroxybutyrate (GHB), knowing she needed to pick up her daughter the next day.

The woman “described a feeling of horror” when she awakened the next day and found she’d missed picking up her daughter and had 165 missed calls from family members and police, Frew said.

The woman’s family had reported her missing to police and tracked her phone to the condo where Hayward lived in downtown Hamilton.

Police went to the condo to look for the woman, who came out and spoke to police, saying she was OK. Later, she found bruises on her legs that hadn’t been there before. Later, investigators found images of her Hayward penetrating her while she was bound and unconscious. The court heard Hayward purposely drugged the woman to sexually assault and record her.

Frew also said Hayward admitted to drugging three other women, saying all recalled consuming alcohol or cannabis on his couch and then waking up in his bed.

In May 2025, Frew said, police searched Hayward’s mom’s house and found various drugs and substances, including chloroform, methamphetamine, ketamine and benzodiazepines. He also had vials and syringes. The agreed statement of facts noted the drugs Hayward had can cause a loss of consciousness, can slow or stop breathing and are more dangerous when combined.

Police also found Hayward counselled other men online about how to drug and rape women, telling one man about a combination of drugs that “drops bitches for six hours.”

Hayward also faces charges in Alberta.

In November, Calgary police charged him with sexual assault in a case dating back to 2015. Records show he’s set for trial before the Alberta Court of Justice in Calgary on Nov. 16.

Hayward is due back in court in Hamilton on Oct. 6 for a check-in regarding when his dangerous offender hearing may be scheduled.

In May, police charged Gilles Richard, 43, of Hamilton with crimes including gang sexual assault and administering an overpowering drug, alleging he was working with Hayward. Court records show Richard’s next court appearance is Sept. 22.
