Quebec provincial police are launching a renewed push for clues a year after Liam Toman vanished at Mont Tremblant.

The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) will set up a command post at the ski resort this Saturday, stationed beside the hotel where the 22-year-old from Ontario was last seen in the early hours of Feb. 2, 2025.

Investigators are hoping that the timing of the operation will jog memories.

SQ Sgt. Marc Tessier said the goal is to meet with tourists and regulars who make an annual trip to the resort.

“We think that it’s important to be there on the same weekend that he was there,” Tessier said.

“Maybe you have some people that went during that same weekend last year that they’re coming back.”

Toman’s disappearance has remained a mystery.

On the night he went missing, he was captured on video surveillance multiple times but then disappeared.

While his wallet was eventually recovered, there has been no trace of him on social media and no activity in his bank accounts since that night.

How did this 22-year-old vanish from inside Quebec’s biggest ski resort?

Toman’s mother, Kathleen, will be present at the resort this weekend, at an information booth next to the police command centre.

“We’re hopeful that maybe some visitors will be coming back from anywhere in this world and be reminded, and hopefully come back with some memories or some thoughts that will help us move the case forward,” Kathleen Toman said.

Toman is urging visitors to look through old photos taken at the resort around this time last year, noting that even the smallest detail in the background of a picture could provide a breakthrough.

A $50,000 reward is being offered for any information that leads to locating the young man. Police are asking anyone with information to stop by the command post this Saturday or contact the Sûreté du Québec.
