They’re modern. They’re retro. They’re stylish. And they’re ready to skate! Back in August of last year, the two brands came together on an NM808 collab and it was a big success, so it only makes sense to follow it up with the 808 Lite.

The collab is part of Roland’s 808 Day, which is celebrated every year on August 8th. So here we are a year later helping Roland, NB Numeric and Tiago celebrate the big day once again. Don’t get me wrong—the 808s were rad, but this 808 Lite colorway is too sick.
What is 808 Day?
Roland dropped the TR-808 (often referred to as just “the 808”) in 1980 and has since “shaped the creation of various music genres.” But the TR-808 actually became so widely praised over the years that they (and loyal fans and enthusiasts) actually dubbed August 8th as “808 Day” around the globe each year. So I guess linking up with with New Balance and Tiago on the NM808 silhouette actually makes all the sense in the world, right?
