East coaster. All-terrain killer. Jiro Platt just dropped a brand-new part for Habitat Skateboards, and if you weren’t already familiar with his skating, consider this your official introduction. He’s a perfect fit for the Habitat squad. Take a look:
Filmed mostly on the East Coast, Jiro’s new part checks all the boxes: tasteful spot selection, rad lines, gnarly handrails, and a style that blends power and precision perfectly. And skating that actually matches the music, too. Classic Habitat-video vibes. It’s a two-song part, just FYI, and things really start to heat up towards the end. Seriously, the last few minutes are wild.

I’ll be the first to admit I wasn’t too familiar with Jiro. As much as we try and keep up with everyone these days, it’s basically impossible.
There are so many talented skateboarders out there and Jiro is one of those hungry up-and-comers out there making moves.
This is the kind of part that makes you immediately want to grab your board and hit the streets, and it also makes perfect sense why Habitat gave him the nod—Jiro fits right in. Love to see it.
Expect to see a lot more from Platt in the years ahead—this part makes it clear he’s hungry, and he’s just getting started.
