Tony Hawk recently dropped by Late Night with Seth Meyers for a fun conversation that covered everything from fatherhood to the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater video game series to airport awkwardness. You’ll see. It was a great conversation and as always, it’s rad to see our fearless leader out there talking skateboarding to the masses.

My favorite part of the conversation—and any conversation when it gets brought up—is hearing all the stories about people who literally don’t believe he’s actually Tony Hawk when out in public. It certainly got a laugh out of Seth. Anyways, it’s a hilarious bit he’s embraced over the years and in all honesty, it would be pretty funny.
Especially the story of the TSA agent telling him, “Your brother [Tony Hawk] was here last week an had everybody buzzing,” which is hilarious. “I have no response to that,” Tony laughs. “That’s cool you saw him.”

It’s 2025 and The Birdman’s humility, humor, and passion for skateboarding seem to be shining as bright as ever. How rad is that? Pretty inspiring, if you ask me.
Anyways, if you haven’t peeped the clip yet, do it. And go play the new THPS 3+4!
