Not even a week ago, Go Skateboarding Day roared back in full force around the world. If one city and one spot were the epicenter of it all, it was New York City with its Brooklyn Banks recently reopened after fifteen years. Vans, Gotham Park, Steve Rodriguez and many more made it possible, and on June 21, the first day of summer, thousands of skaters from across the five boroughs and beyond pulled up to the bricks under the Brooklyn Bridge and got busy. We were lucky enough to be down there on June 5 when the NYC mayor showed up and cut the ribbon to make things official.
