Anthony S. Ferraro, a blind athlete and content creator, gives us the tour of this first-of-its-kind, very unique skatepark: Built by the blind, for the blind. Anthony, and designer Dan Mancina who you ought to be very familiar with, break down all the features that make this park user-friendly to the blind and visually impaired:
“The world’s first ever adaptive skatepark “The Ranch” built for the blind by the blind aka @danthemancina — a vision coming to reality. A dream coming to fruition. It’s really amazing to be surrounded by someone like Dan who not only dreams up a project but puts blood, sweat, tears and cash money into it to make it a reality. Whatever it takes. Never give up. Literally standing in this park makes you feel all that. A place where a blind skateboarder and roll around in confidence. But also a place great for other skaters. Maybe this could be the future for all skateparks?”
We reported on this park, in its building phase, last month ICYMI.
