The big day is almost here. Street League is coming to the Santa Monica Pier this Friday, May 23rd, and they’re switching up their usual format. They recently shared the official course reveal, and it’s actually looking pretty rad, all things considered. And despite where you are in the world, you can livestream the action on YouTube for free. Things kick off at 3pm (PST). See what that means across the globe below:

According to SLS, the Triple Set will be custom-built and dropped directly on the Santa Monica Pier, which is pretty wild to imagine. They’re basically turning this iconic spot (which happens to be a stones throw from the event) into a live, free skateboarding event that is open to the public.
I like that they’re taking things outside and getting the community involved. If you’re in or around the area, stop by and peep all the action in person! Otherwise, figure out what time the livestream will be going down in your neck of the woods and throw a watch party with your friends and family.

“We’re transforming the iconic Santa Monica Pier on Friday, May 23, in the league’s first-ever ‘Spot-Takeover’ event,” SLS mentioned on their website. “A custom-built course will rebuild the Santa Monica Triple Set—one of skateboarding’s most iconic spots—right on the Santa Monica Pier for a FREE festival that pays homage to the place that shaped skateboarding into what it is today.”
Hey, even though a rebuilt version of the triple set will never be the same as the actual spot—no pedestrians, distractions—I’m still curious to see what some of skateboarding’s best have in store for it.
Hit the SLS site and mark your calendars for May 23rd. Only a few days left! This is going to be a good one.
