Axel Cruysberghs has a gift. Not just for skating, but for seeing skateboarding where the rest of us see nothing. Does that make sense? If there’s a ledge, curb, wall, or random chunk of concrete that looks totally useless, Axel can somehow turn it into a make. And his new mini part for Toy Machine is a perfect reminder of that talent. Take a look:

At just under a minute, this edit wastes zero time. Every clip makes me wonder “how did he even think of that?” but honestly, at this point, I’m not that surprised. Mixing a strangely perfect blend of tech wizardry with his laid-back approach, Axel proves time and time again that he’s the king of skating spots that aren’t really spots—a master of originality who proves there’s still endless ground to cover out there in the streets.
The only downside? It’s over too fast. Watching this makes me want a full Axel part, or at least another few minutes of whatever his brain is cooking up. Whatever, though. Beggars can’t be choosers and I’ll happily take what I can get.
