Street League Skateboarding (SLS) recently announced a new global partnership with online gaming powerhouse Stake—a big move for both brands that is aimed to elevate future SLS events, including the upcoming Cleveland stop.

The partnership between Stake and SLS actually began when Stake hopped on board as the Presenting Rights Partner of SLS Miami and the first SLS Takeover in Santa Monica in May. After the success of both events, Stake decided to keep the partnership going, and will now run throughout the SLS Championship Tour season.

“We’re excited to welcome an exciting brand like Stake to the SLS family,” said Frank Lamicella, CEO of Thrill Sports and parent company of SLS. “This partnership will deliver innovative activation elements and experiences to both our brands and fans as we travel the world for the 2025 SLS Championship Tour.”
Akhil Sarin, Chief Marketing Officer at Stake added to that, saying: “Skateboarding is more than sport – it’s fashion, music, culture, and raw energy. That’s exactly the space Stake loves to play in, and SLS is the perfect partner to bring that to life. This alignment makes it an excellent partnership for our brand.”

As part of the collaboration, Stake will also serve as the presenting partner of the annual SLS Trick of the Year contest, which is a separate contest that invites skaters from around the world to submit their best tricks for a shot at a cash prize and some serious notoriety.
Expect to see plenty of Stake branding at the live events and SLS social channels in 2025/2026. It’s a new world, that’s for sure. Betting some lunch or a couple bucks with your friends during a game of SKATE is one thing, but this is next level.
