2025 is already looking solid for the powers that be at adidas Skateboarding, with a proper variety of timeless silhouettes and unexpected drops that have been turning heads in the streets and skateshops alike.
From flashy collabs to fresh takes on classics like the Superstar ADV, the lineup has been anything but normal—but that’s certainly not a bad thing. And we’re only halfway through the year! Anyways, we rounded up eight of our favorite adidas Skateboarding releases of the year so far. As always, these are in no particular order, just the ones I’ve been hyped on. What’d we miss? Let’s get into it.
1. adidas x Dime Gazelle Collab
Back in March, adidas Skateboarding and the bold tastemakers at Dime teamed up once again to bring a fresh twist to a timeless silhouette. I’ve never seen the classic Gazelle get such a premium makeover. This was truly where luxury and skate-ready durability were able to naturally collide! Honestly, only Dime could pull something like this off. They’re wild, but they’re pretty dope.

2. Felipe Gustavo Superstar ADV
This one was long overdue, if you ask me. Felipe Gustavo is one skateboarder who definitely deserves his name on a shoe, and these are as sleek and stylish as his skating. “Felipe’s Superstar ADV features a premium suede upper with red piping details and a nod to the architecture of his hometown of Brasília, Brazil,” adidas mentioned. “Felipe’s name sits atop the three stripes in our signature gold foil.” Absolute bangers. Yeah, Felipe!
3. Tyahawn II in Cloud White / Collegiate Navy
In early June, the brand with Three Stripes and one of skateboarding’s heaviest hitters—Tyshawn Jones—dropped a fresh new colorway of the Tyshawn II, along with a new apparel collection that remixed classic adidas gear with skateboarding in mind. The Cloud White / Collegiate Navy / Grey One colorway is one of the cleanest Tyshawn shoes I’ve seen so far. Too fresh. These things are just getting out into the wild right now, too, so look for ’em at your local!
4. Gonz Aloha Super in Legend Ink / Clear Sky
Can’t have this list exist without some Gonz in the mix! Back in February, the ‘Aloha Super’ by Mark Gonzales dropped in a super skate-friendly colorway: Legend Ink / Clear Sky. In fairness, a handful of Aloha Super colorways have dropped this year, but something about these got me stoked. For the minimalist in your life! No bells and whistles necessary. “Mark Gonzales’ favorite design returns with new materials and a semi-translucent gum rubber outsole,” adidas mentioned on their website. Did you say Gonz’s favorite shoe? Say less.

5. adidas x Always Pro Model Collab
In early May, adidas Skateboarding and Always (aka ADWYSD—”Always Do What You Should Do”) proved to us all that tracksuits were officially back with their bold collab capsule. It featured a flashy, eye-catching colorway of the adidas “Pro Model” (above) and a statement-making tracksuit that really tied the knot. Admittedly, I just simply can’t pull off a tracksuit, but I will say this—those who can, pretty much always look dope, especially when they’re skateboarding. Can’t fake the funk!
6. Busenitz Pro in Crystal/White
The most recent drop on this list, adidas Skateboarding just dropped a crisp new colorway of the Busenitz in Crystal White that’s “inspired by sport” and “built for speed.” The OG Busenitz pro model is a fan favorite, and this classic colorway is a great addition to his already impressive catalog of kicks. There’s actually an entire vintage-inspired collection that these are a part of. What can I say? These are some good-looking kicks, and let’s be real—we all love Dennis Busenitz. Mandatory.
7. Superskate Mid
It was mid-March when adidas Skateboarding took a trip through their archives and brought back a timeless classic—the Superskate. The silhouette originally dropped in the ‘70s, but this mid-top banger was retooled for modern-day skateboarding with added durability and comfort. The powers that be at adidas are no strangers to blending retro looks with modern functionality, and the Superskate is certainly no exception. I bet these popped up in your Explore page once or twice.
8. Nora in Court Green
Similar to Gonz’s ‘Aloha Super’, the ‘Nora’–Nora Vasconcellos signature shoe—has had a few great colorways drop this year, but these really caught my eye. The Court Green colorway is exactly what a skate shoe should be—clean, simple, and made to skate. I’d been seeing a lot of green colorways from the Three Stripes crew when these dropped in April, so maybe that added to the allure? Who knows? But these are sick. Nora is sick. And it’s just another bangin’ skate shoe we’ve seen from adidas Skateboarding this year. Let’s see what the rest of 2025 brings!
