After solid a year of filming—including multiple trips back to Barcelona—Chris Joslin dropped his heavy video part, JOYCE (in loving memory of his grandma, Joyce) last December and it was an absolute mind-melter. In fact, when it first dropped, he said it was “the best part I’ve filmed in the last 10 years.”
If you think about someone who relentlessly delivers like Joslin, that actually says a lot. In this behind-the-scenes look, he revisits JOYCE and breaks down some of the gnarliest clips—offering real insight into the effort, mindset, and madness behind the part. It was all a process, but well worth it. Take a look:
From mega gaps to giant handrails, hearing Joslin explain all the work and effort that went into filming every trick—including some he considers to be the heaviest moments of his career—is pretty powerful stuff. No filler here. It’s just not the way the dude is wired. He’s all or nothing and we saw that attitude on full display in JOYCE.

What’s even more impressive is when he’s not stacking in the streets and hitting us with video parts like JOYCE, the dude skates all the major contests, has a family to care for, and I’m just barely scratching the surface here. To say I’m impressed simply wouldn’t be saying enough. It’s a lot, but he handles it all like a pro.
If you haven’t seen the part, tap that post above. If you have, well, still tap that post above. It’s certainly worth a rewatch or two. Joslin is a beast and getting a little peak inside his mind was a real treat. Keep charging, Chris! We see you.
