“Looking forward to returning to the UK,” said Alva. “Hoping you can all come out and have a good time with us, I’m really excited about it.”
This isn’t Tony’s first time over the pond, visiting back when he was 19-years-old and was one of the first American skateboarders to visit – and the first to skate London’s Southbank. Tony’s also a surfer and musician, forming the band G.F.P. In 2007, with members of Bad Religion and Suicidal Tendencies. In 2013, Alva played in LA-based band, His Eyes Have Fangs.

“It’s amazing Tony is joining us here for the UK Surf & Skate Expo,” said organiser Chris Thomson. “Heritage is so important to surf and skate culture, and to have a legend like Tony in Newquay for the weekend, may help inspire a next generation of surfers, and reignite the fire for us old school crew.”
Tony’s evening talk will take place on Saturday September 13th in the Expo Hall from 7pm, and he’ll be joined by Ozzie Ausband, author of ‘Back In The Day’, a skateboard history book. You can book your tickets by going here.
