Ahead of surf and skate’s return to Waco Surf next week, the endlessly imaginative, rider-driven surf and skate event, Swatch Nines Surf is revealing first looks from what may be the Nines wildest build yet. In renderings released today, there’s a first look at a new crane-suspended loop the builders are calling the “Swatch Flying O.” It’s a surreal feature held far above the pool that brings rider dreams—first imagined at the rider design meetings this winter—fully to life.

Built by creative renegades, the Zenga Bros, the Swatch Flying O with a steel structure and wooden skeleton hangs from a massive crane positioned outside the pool walls. The setup includes a sculpted, rideable Reef Fanning Feature suspended in midair on a floating quarter pipe with a pool-integrated wall ride that transforms into a surfable rail below it. It’s a hybrid playground of skate and surf, engineered for boundary-pushing progression.
This year’s setup also includes a street-style section with boxes, a pyramid, and custom rails built atop the Waco Surf pump house, and a beach course featuring a 7-foot mini ramp in the water with a massive run-in, hip—bringing a fresh take on how surf, skate, and bike terrain can coexist.

THE THREE MAIN ZONES AT SWATCH NINES SURF 2025:
1. The Swatch Flying O
A fully suspended, crane-mounted mini-ramp with surf elements built into its structure. It’s a floating fusion of skate and surf, unlike anything the action sports world has ever seen.
2. The Rooftop Line
A street-inspired skate course mounted atop the Waco Surf pump house. This elevated section features a pyramid, grind ledge, creative rails, and hydrants—merging street aesthetics with poolside innovation.
3. The Beach Course
A 7-foot mini ramp in the water, with a long run-in and a massive hip entry. It brings classic vert energy to the beach zone and connects seamlessly with the rest of the pool.
