The original 808 was built tough—durability and protection were front and center—but it was just a bit bulky and took a minute to break in. The updated 808 Lite keeps that same rugged DNA, it’s just a bit more trimmed down. It’s basically lighter on your feet and designed to offer better boardfeel right out of the box. What more do you need?
All that said, the original was still a banger—and Tiago made them look incredible. When you’re as gnarly as Tiago, well, his stamp of approval means something. If it’s good enough for him, you know it’s built to handle serious skateboarding.

New Balance is just on a roll this year. We’re barely creeping into June and it seems like there’s been something to talk about in regards to the brand the entire year so far. I’m one-million percent here for it. They continue to do things right, that’s for sure. And they know how to build hype without shoving it in our faces, you know? I love that.
Look for the New Balance Numeric 808 Lite at your local shop. I bet they have ’em.
