Six years might not seem like forever, but in this wild industry, it’s no small feat. It’s actually kind of crazy to think it’s already been six years.
Shane O’Neill, Yuto Horigome, Rayssa Leal, Guy Mariano, Dashawn Jordan, Ronnie Kessner, Noah Nayef, Matheus Mendes, Yosef Ratleff, Chloe Covell—these are big time names. From day one, April’s been all about style, progression, and letting the skating do the talking. With someone like Shane O’Neill steering the ship, you can assume both the team and brand will stay tasteful, and they certainly have.
They’ve put out some incredible videos, the Nike SB April Skateboards Dunk was a huge success, the team continues to grow and again, the progress is impossible to ignore. The skate industry gives and takes, but April continues to make their mark.
Congrats to Shane, the team and everyone involved behind the scenes. Here’s to six more years (and many more beyond that).
