Hina Maeda’s new part for Bones Bearings just dropped, and it’s a solid look at what this hungry up-and-comer is all about.
Even with a stacked travel and contest schedule—and a few unfortunate setbacks due to injuries—Hina stayed busy in the streets and ended up stacking some proper clips for the project. Take a look:
This video part actually took a little longer than expected. Here’s what the crew at Bones had to say:
“We started working on this video with Hina Maeda over a year ago but due to conflicting travel schedules and injuries this took longer to make than we expected. We started in LA over a year ago when Hina came to skate X- Games. Then we went to NYC so Hina could skate The Boardr Am and Go Skate Day. Before Hina went back to Japan we went to Phoenix Am. In between skating contests we got enough clips to put out this video.”

Hina skates with some serious style and power. There were more than a few clips peppered in here that made me double-take. She’s got quick feet, a deep bag of tricks and an open mind to tackle some unique terrain. And she certainly knows how to piece together a proper line!
But it was her ender that really proved she’s a forced to be reckoned with right now. If you haven’t watched the part yet, you’re blowing it! Watch it all the way through and wait for that curtain closer. Hina rips. Simple as that. I know we’ll be seeing a lot more from her in the near future.
